  • The Friends of NAPL are holding a bus trip/fundraiser on Tuesday, March 6th. The trip will be to the Philadelphia Flower Show. The cost is $55 and includes admission to the Flower Show and the bus. See the Friends' page for more information. If you would like to hang up a flyer, click here.

  • The library will be holding a Rubber Stamping & Card Making Class on Monday, February 13th, at 10:00 AM. The $15 fee for the class covers all your supplies and $2 will be donated to the library for every fee received. Each person will be making 4 projects including envelopes. Register by February 6th at the front desk in the library.

  • Need tax forms? Click on the form you need to get a printable copy. State Taxes: PA-40 , PA Schedule SP . Federal Taxes: 1040 , 1040EZ , 1040A , Schedule EIC . For any other forms visit the state revenue website at www.revenue.state.pa.us or the IRS at www.irs.gov .

  • Download FREE digital audio and ebooks through Valley Downloadable Library! All you need is a valid library card. The books work with the Kindle, Nook, iPod and many more devices. There is a one-time software download that is required in order to use Valley Downloadable Library. It is available at www.overdrive.com .

  • Now on sale: Library Miniatures were $15 and are now $5.

  • Registration for the Winter Children's Programs has begun. The programs begin on January 31st. Please see the Kid's Page for more information.

  • 6:30 and a Book will be meeting on Wednesday, January 25th to discuss "Tinkers" by Paul Harding. Please see our Adult Programs page for more information.

  • The next Stitch-In meeting will be on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:30 PM. Check out our Adult Programs for details.

  • The next meeting of the Civil War Discussion Group will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 PM at the library. The group is FREE and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. For further information, contact Dick Stewart at (610) 261-4331.

  • The next Friends of NAPL meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00 PM.

  • The Friends of NAPL are selling tote bags and backpacks. Check out their page for pictures and pricing.

  • Did you know that the library collects food for the Northampton Food Bank and for the Animal Food Bank? Drop off your non-perishable food items and your pet food items at the library any time that we're open. We also collect used cell phones for the Cell Phones for Soldiers program. The phones and accesories are recycled and the money received from recycling is used to buy calling cards for soldiers serving overseas. Any cell phones and accessories may be dropped off at the library any time during regular hours.

  • The Friends of NAPL have purchased a disc repair machine for the library! As a service to our patrons, we are willing to clean and repair your music CDs, DVDs, Books on CD, CD-ROMs, or system games for a donation of $2 each, limit 5 discs per month per patron. For more information, ask any library staff member.

  • The library and the Friends of NAPL are selling the following items: library miniatures are $5; Discount Savings Cards are $2 each; green zippered tote bags with pockets and drink holder are $10; green canvas backpacks are $10; and Gertrude Hawk candy bars are $1 each. Stop by the library and pick up some of these great items.
