On Wednesday, everyone got a workout trying to rinse and ring out their tie-dye creations. The finished products were fantastic and showed a wide variety of color combinations and patterns.

One Book, Every Young Child
A special family storytime was held on April 14 featuring Whose Shoes? A Shoe for Every Job by Stephen R. Swinburne. Whose Shoes? was the selection this year for Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child. This collaborative project is held in libraries, preschools and daycares in the state to highlight the importance of early literacy development.

The children and their families enjoyed the story and participating in dancing the "Grapevine". Everyone made pictures of flip-flops and sneakers changing them into "fancy" shoes by coloring and decorating them with hearts, flowers, stars and dinosaurs. Every child attending the storytime was given a copy of the book , stickers and a bookmark along with suggestions or additional activities to do at home.
