• assist in developing Library services and facilities for the community.
Some of the things the Friends have done in the past include: purchasing an outdoor media drop box, creating a book discussion group and purchasing books for the group, Longaberger Basket Bingo, sponsored the 9th grade essay contest, helped with the auction, helped with the library's annual drive mailing,and had booths at various community events.
No one is required to help with any one thing. You may simply use the talents you have and choose how you would like to help the library. We do ask that you bring a smile, a desire to help, and if possible, a head full of ideas. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Membership is just $5 per year for an individual or $10 for a family and comes with many opportunities to show your support. For more information, please call 610-262-7537 and speak to any staff member or email Karen Hein .

Bus Trip
We are having another bus trip/fundraiser on Friday, June 21st to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. The cost of the trip is $45 for adults and $40 for children up to age 15. This includes the bus, admission to the aquarium and a 40 minute 3-D show. Lunch is on your own and there is a cafe in the aquarium. For more info on Adventure Aquarium, visit www.adventureaquarium.com. The bus will leave the Northampton Recreation Center, 1 Lerchenmiller Drive, at 8:00 AM and will return at about 6:00 PM. All seats must be paid for by Thursday, May 23rd. Call or stop by the library to sign up for the trip.
Tote Bags
The Friends of NAPL have tote bags for sale. The bag has an open front pocket, two pen pockets, a card pocket, a cell phone pocket, a drink pocket and a large zippered pocket and is $10.

Canvas Backpacks
The Friends of NAPL are also selling canvas backpacks. The backpacks have a large zippered main pocket, two smaller zippered pockets, and two velcro side pockets. They are $10 each.
