“Lenape Lifeways” Program On Thursday, May 14th, Carla and Alan Messinger spoke to an overflowing room about the life of the Lenape Indians. The Messingers also brought along exhibits for everyone to see. The children and adults at the program learned a lot about Lenape life as compared to the colonists and even life today. A great big thank you to the Messingers for sharing their expertise! |

Family Science Days The library held Family Science Days on Tuesday, August 4th and Wednesday, August 5th. The science project for this year was tie-dying. Everyone brought an item to tie-dye, for example, a t-shirt, a pillow case or a tote bag. Diane DeVivo, a chemistry teacher, brought two helpers with her to assist all the families in their tie-dying. Whether they chose the bullseye, spiral, or other pattern, everyone’s project turned out very bright and colorful as you can see from the pictures below! |
