Civil War Book Discussion Group The library has been chosen to sponsor a series of book discussion programs called Read About It! A discussion group will meet at the library for four sessions from 7-8 PM on Wednesday evenings on the following dates: February 6th, March 5th, April 2nd, and on Thursday, May 15th.
The library will offer “The Civil War Series”, which will be led by Robert Myers of Lock Haven University. The books we will be reading are “Killer Angels” by Michael Shaara, “Beloved” by Toni Morrison, “The March” by E.L. Doctorow and “Cold Mountain” by Charles Frazier. The books are provided to you free of charge through the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.
Seating is limited and applications for registration are now being accepted for this program. Please note that pre-registration is required. Once you are registered, we will give you the first book.
