Computer Class

every Wednesday at 6:00 PM

Bill Richardson, a volunteer and member of the NAPL Friends, teaches a Computer Class for ages 16—Adult every Tuesday evening. Personalizing the instruction to the needs of those attending, he covers many aspects of basic computer use, common word processing and spreadsheet programs, and related topics. The class is free, and students may attend as many times as they wish.  Please call or stop by the library to sign up.  We need your name and phone number in the event of class cancellations.

Civil War Book Discussion Group

The library has been chosen to sponsor a series of book discussion programs called Read About It!  A discussion group will meet at the library for four sessions from 7-8 PM on Wednesday evenings on the following dates: February 6th, March 5th, April 2nd, and on Thursday, May 15th.

The library will offer “The Civil War Series”, which will be led by Robert Myers of Lock Haven University.  The books we will be reading are “Killer Angels” by Michael Shaara, “Beloved” by Toni Morrison, “The March” by E.L. Doctorow and “Cold Mountain” by Charles Frazier.  The books are provided to you free of charge through the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.

Seating is limited and applications for registration are now being accepted for this program.  Please note that pre-registration is required.  Once you are registered, we will give you the first book.

For more information, contact the library at 610-262-7537 or email Karen Hein at khein@fast.net.
