Our Impact This Year
The Northampton Area Public Library has always maintained that we have the best and most supportive communities in the Lehigh Valley. Friends and supporters, you continue to prove that statement year after year. In 2026, your donations allowed us to:
- Increase collection use by 17% or 10,620 items.
- Provide free computer and wireless access to 7,931 individuals in and around the library building.
- Provide wireless access to individuals at home 215 times with mobile hotspot lending.
- Offer 356 programs for children, teens, adults, and multigenerational families!
- See 2,849 program participants over the year!
- Drive a total of 2,195.04 miles to provide outreach to our elders, to our schools, to Main Street Scholars, and to summer readers throughout our seven municipalities.
We continue to offer amazing digital resources that allow you to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, and the Kanopy streaming service. With your support, we’ll continue to provide our communities with essential services, including computer and software tutorials and vital job-search skills, through SkillUp PA, Tech Tutoring, and Universal Class.
