Transatlantic Book Discussion

@ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Newfoundland, 1919. Two aviators—Jack Alcock and Arthur Brown—set course for Ireland as they attempt the first nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean, placing their trust in a modified bomber to heal the wounds of the Great War.

Dublin, 1845 and ’46. On an international lecture tour in support of his subversive autobiography, Frederick Douglass finds the Irish people sympathetic to the abolitionist cause—despite the fact that, as famine ravages the countryside, the poor suffer from hardships that are astonishing even to an American slave.

Bee Season Book Discussion

@ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Eliza Naumann, a seemingly unremarkable nine-year-old, expects never to fit into her gifted family: her autodidact father, Saul, absorbed in his study of Jewish mysticism; her brother, Aaron, the vessel of his father's spiritual ambitions; and her brilliant but distant lawyer-mom, Miriam. But when Eliza sweeps her school and district spelling bees in quick succession, Saul takes it as a sign that she is destined for greatness.

Essential Oils

Community Room
@ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The purpose of this reservation is to hold a free educational learning
session for anyone who may be interested in learning more about the powerful
benefits of essential oils, and anyone interested in kicking toxic chemicals
out of their home. If this room could be setup in the classroom fashion with
tables and chairs facing the TV screen that would be perfect. I will have a
powerpoint presentation that I will be showing, so I'll need the connections
for that available please.
