National Novel Writing Month is November.  Every Monday evening in November we are offering space to work on their Great American Novels.  Join fellow writers, new or experienced, in the exchange ideas, or help each other out when you're stuck on that pivotal scene.  No experience necessary.  All ages welcome.

The bus will leave promptly at 8 AM and return at 6 PM.  Park at the Northampton Recreation Center (1 Lerchenmiller Dr. Northampton).  Park in the lot to the left of the building and use the rows farthest from the building.

The Jack Frost Parade Route is directly in front of the library, therefore we are unable to remain open during the event.  Look for our teen patrons on the library float!!

How it Works:

• Any child from birth to kindergarten is eligible
• Sign up and receive a 1000 Books folder
• Record the books you read
• Read the same book more than once? Record it each time, repetition is the key to learning!
• Books read at story time, at daycare, or by others to your child all count!
• After each 100 books, bring your reading log to the library for your prize and a new page for your folder
• Read 1000 Books and attend a special ceremony for program graduates (held twice a year)
