Join Our Teen Advisory Board

We are currently accepting members for our Teen Advisory Board! Stop by the library to fill out an application.

What Is a Teen Advisory Board?

Northampton Area Public Library's Teen Advisory Board is a space for teens, grades 6-12, to implement the change they want to see at our library.

Members of the Teen Advisory Board are advocates for the young people in our community. They help the library cultivate the programming and media selection that teens want and need.

What Does a Teen Advisory Board Do?

The duties of a Teen Advisory Board member are:

  • Volunteering to assist with events.
  • Advising and planning teen programming.
  • Recommending books, movies, music and magazines for our Young Adult collection.

Optional: Creating content for NAPL's Teen Literature Blog.

What Will I Gain From Joining?

Our Teen Advisory Board offers teens the opportunity to practice leadership skills and contribute to their community. Additionally, it is an opportunity to earn community service hours, which will look fantastic on job and college applications!

If you have any questions, please contact the Young Adult Programming Coordinator at 610-262-7537.
