What Is a Teen Advisory Board?

Our Teen Advisory Board is a space for teens, grades 6-12, to implement the change they want to see at our library.

Members of the Teen Advisory Board are advocates for the young people in our community. They help the library cultivate the programming and media selection that teens want and need.

What Does a Teen Advisory Board Do?

Members of our Teen Advisory Board:

  • Volunteer at library events.
  • Help plan and implement library programs for teens.
  • Recommend books for our Young Adult collection.

Optional: Create content for NAPL's Teen Literature Blog.

What Will I Gain from Joining?

Our Teen Advisory Board offers teens the opportunity to practice leadership skills and contribute to their community. Additionally, it is an opportunity to engage in community service, which will look fantastic on job and college applications!

If you have any questions, please contact the Young Adult Programming Coordinator at 610-262-7537.
