NAPL Summer Quest 2021 - Teen Program

How it works

or download the Reader Zone App.  Create your account. 
Enter our code - 784cc and choose the correct program.

If you prefer paper, that's ok too!  You can download PDF versions
of the reading logs under each department.

All programming will be virtual.  Videos will premiere on
the date and time of the event listing. They will premiere
on Facebook and YouTube.

What You Need to Know:

When can I start? The program runs from June 5 - August 7, 2021. 

What books count? Books from home, library books, e-books, magazines,
graphic novels, and audiobooks all count.

What prizes can I earn? Gift cards, Themed baskets.

What do I need to do to win?  Participate in any or all programs/activites. 
Each program/activity earns you raffle entries.  Winners will be drawn from these
entries.

How do I redeem prizes? Watch for additional information about how to redeem your
reading time for prizes on this web page  Prize quantities are limited.        

Activities

Reader Zone (June 5 - August 7)
Reader Zone is our new online program to track reading achievements. For teens, you will be tracking your minutes read.  Reader Zone is easy.  Download the app to your phone, create your account.  Then use our code – 784cc to join our reading quest.  For every 60 minutes read, you will earn an entry into our prize raffle.

Summer Quest Bingo (June 5 - August 7)
Another reading quest!  Do the activity, mark the box and when you get bingo, send a screenshot to info@northamptonapl.org and you’ll be entered into our prize raffle.  Fill the board, send it to the same email and get another entry.  Want more?  There’s a second Bingo board available if you want to earn more raffle entries.

100 Books Before High School &
100 Books Before Graduation Kick-Off
100 Books before challenges are reading initiatives for teens to read 100 books before they enter high school and before they graduate.  This is a beyond summer reading initiative.  Get full program description at https://www.northamptonapl.org/100-books-challenges-teens  

Programs

Registration is required for all programs in order to receive the correct supplies from the library.  All programs are passive – the dates are just when the kits will be available for pick up and/or the video will premiere on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

 

Homemade Dog Treats Monday, June 21   Learn to create delicious homemade dog treats.  Some recipes include peanut butter so those with allergies please be aware.   Most materials will be provided in a kit.  Registration is required. 

 

 

Pet Brag Book - Monday, June 28  Create your own book about your pet or favorite animal.  All supplies will be provided – you provide the pictures.

 

 

Bottlecap Magnets – Tuesday, July 6   Create ypur own set of DIY magnets, featuring your pets or favorite animals. Super cute and super easy.  All materials are provided. 

 

 

Upcycled Book Craft - Hedgehog – Monday, July 12   Create this adorable hedgehog using a book!  You''ll be surprised how easy it is.  All supplies will be provided.  Registration is required. 

 

 

DIY Hummingbird & Bird FeedersMonday, July 19  Create these whimsical feeders that can lead to a bird paradise.  All supplies will be provided.  

 

 

No Sew Pocket Sloth – Monday, July 26   Create this pocket sloth that you can carry with you anywhere!  All materials will be provided.

 

 

Cat Tent - Monday, August 2  Create the purrfect home for your cat!  Materials provided.

 

 

Participation in any programs will earn you entries into our prize raffles.
