When can I start? The program runs from June 3 - August 26, 2023. 

What books count? Books from home, library books, e-books, magazines,
graphic novels, and audiobooks all count.

What prizes can I earn? Assorted prizes all summer long!

How do I redeem prizes? Watch for additional information about how to redeem your
reading time for prizes on this web page  Prize quantities are limited.

Summer Reading

Reader Zone (June 3 - August 26)
Reader Zone is our online program to track reading achievements. You will be tracking your minutes read.  Reader Zone is easy.  Download the app to your phone, create your account.  Then use our code – 26055 to join our reading quest.  

Weekly Programs

Baby Lapsit Storytime - Tuesdays @ 10:30am (starting June 20) - If you have children ages 0-24 months, you are most welcome to join our lapsit where you can continue to bond with your children through stories, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays. Learn the best age appropriate things to teach your children and have fun while doing it!  Should the weather cooperate, we will be outside. If not, we will need to utilize the community room.  For safety, space is limited. Please register your children here; you don't have to register yourself as a parent or guardian.

 

 Toddler Storytime - Wednesdays @ 10am (starting June 21)   Toddlers come on! We're going to have a storytime!  Stories, rhymes, songs, and movement abound for our 18-36 month olds, as we finally get together again. Watch your children learn and have fun while doing it!  Should the weather cooperate, we will be outside. If not, we will need to utilize the community room.  For safety, space is limited. Please register your children here; you don't have to register yourself as a parent or guardian.


 

Preschool Storytime - Thursdays @ 10am (starting June 22) - Bring your 3-5 year-olds to preschool storytime again!  Join us for stories, fingerplays, songs, and more. Your children will learn and have fun doing it!  Should the weather cooperate, we will be outside. If not, we will need to utilize the community room.  For safety, space is limited. Please register your children here; you don't have to register yourself as a parent or guardian.

 


 

Special Programs

 Spatial Poetry - Monday, June 12 @ 3PM - (3rd - 12th Grade) - Make poems out of street names in your community!  Join Miss Tessa and Miss Mayzi to learn how to make spatial poems. Registration is required for this program.


 


 Collaborative Rube Goldberg Machine - Monday, June19 @ 3PM - (3rd - 12th Grade) - Join Miss Tessa and Miss Mayzi as we work together as a group to build a working Rube Goldberg machine.  Registration required.



 

 Mother Nature by Kit's Interactive Theatre - Wednesday, July 12 @ 1:00PM - (Kindergarden - 5th Grade) - Mother Nature and her friend, The Fairy Queen, teach the importance of preservation.  Registration is required for this program.


 


 Flower Power - Thursday, July 20 @ 3PM - (Kindergarden - 5th Grade) - Learn all there is to know about local plants and flowers from Audrey Erb, a member of the Lehigh County Master Gardeners.  Spaces are limited so registration is required. Everyone who registers will receive a seed packet.

  

 

 Instruments Across Borders - Monday, July 24 @ 3PM - (3rd - 5th Grade) - Join Miss Morgan and her fellow bandmates as you learn about instruments and where they originated.  Registration required.

 



Giant Floor Crossword - Monday, August 7 @ 3PM - (Kindergarden - 5th Grade) - Work together to solve a giant crossword puzzle! Work in teams or by yourself to solve the crossword puzzle.  Registration is recommended but not required. 





 Community Garden Visit - Wednesday, August 9 @ 5PM - (all ages) - Join Miss Tessa, Miss Mayzi and Miss Veronica as they make a visit to the Northampton Food Bank garden. Registration recommended but not required.

 

 

 The Science of Collaboration - Monday, August 14 @ 3PM - (3rd - 5th Grade) - Join Miss Tessa to learn about the amazing science of collaboration! This program will include three science projects.  Registration is required.

 

 

Monthly Programs

 Kids' Game Club (Grades 3 - 5) - Thursday, June 8, July 13 & August 10 @ 6PM - If you enjoy a large variey of games...board games, group games, word games and Wii, join us for Game Club.  Registration required.

 

 

 STEAM Craft CLub (Grades 3 - 5) - Thursday, June 15, July 20, & August 17 @ 6PM - We will discuss a STEAM related topic and make a craft related to the topic.  Topics this summer include Sand Clay Handprints, Layers of the Ocean jar and Coastal Erosion Experiment.  Registration required.

 



 Storycraft (Kindergarden - 2nd Grade) - Thursday, June 22, July 27 & August 24 @ 4:30PM - Enjoy stories, creative crafts & fun.  For children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  Registration is required.

 


 

Summer Quest Crafts (Preschool - 2nd Grade)
Crafts bags with story suggestions available for curbside pickup.  There will be a different craft every 2 weeks.   Limit 2 per family.
