Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Photo Contest
Take a photo, use an old photo, make your own photo. Modify them however you like. Create a peculiar character like that in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Submissions must be in black and white or sepia tones, and include the character’s name and their peculiarity.
Submission deadline is Saturday, October 15, 2016
You may submit online to rrobinson@northamptonapl.org or at the Help Desk.
Teen Lounge Re-opening
Beginning Monday, October 31st the Northampton Area Public Library Teen Lounge will reopen for its 4th year. The Teen Lounge gives teens in grades 6 through 12 a place to hang out, rest, recharge. Snacks are available for purchase, ipads are available for those teens with the appropriate permission forms signed. The Lounge is open Monday-Wednesday 2:30PM to 4:45PM and Thursday 2:30 PM to 4PM when school is in session.
Teen Advisory Group Meeting
The Teen Advisory Group or TAG is a group of teens, grades 6 – 12, living in the Northampton Area School District who are interested in having a say in what their library does for them.
TAG will normally meet monthly on the second Wednesday of each month @ 3:30 PM with some exceptions. Meetings are for group members to share their ideas, help plan future events/services for teens, and work toward making the library a teen-friendly space in our community.
Anime Manga Club
Geek out about your favorite anime or manga. Play Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh. Laugh, have fun, and connect with other teens.
Minecraft Virtual Event
Join us for our first virtual Minecraft event!! This is an event where you can participate in the comfort of your own home. When registering for this event, you will need to provide an email address and your Minecraft user name. The evening before the event, you will be emailed a link to the private Minecraft server and the rules. You will not be able to access the server until Saturday morning. You will be whitelisted by an administrator to be able to join the server. A theme will be announced Saturday morning and you have from 10 AM - 4 PM to create a theme related structure.
End of Summer Dance Party
Time to relax and enjoy your accomplishments this summer with music, refreshments and friends!
Scavenger Hunt
Collect as many clues as possible in the time allowed.
